The 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix      Frame-Off Build 508 Miles!          This beauty has it all 389ci Tri-Power, T-10 4-Speed, Limited-Slip Safe-T-Track, Kelsey-Hayes 8-Lug Integral Wheel and much more!

 

Pontiac created a car that embodied performance, luxury, and style in the 1962 Grand Prix. This was the flagship of the fleet.

The 1962 Grand Prix is a frame off build with only 508 miles. The '62 is finished in a show quality black paint and glamor clear finish. All electric motors have been rebuilt. All suspension components has been restored. All new window glass. Seam seal and paint under side of floor pans in DP74 epoxy. Align and weld panels to show condition  and seal in DP90 epoxy. Time for suspension and floor pans 293 hours. Straightening body panels for extreme show conditions. Restore and refinish hinges, trim and bumpers to show standards. Assemble align to beyond factory tolerances...240 hours. Rewire and restore electrical system. Rebuild the transmission, clutch, linkage and drive line. All new weatherstripping total 426 hours. Total cost to this stage $106,000.00.

All new interior including bucket seats, console, floor shift, tackometer, and rear speaker. In the rear seat a folding center arm rest and built-in speaker grille. Restored all gauges and dash parts. All chrome and trim have been done. This upscale interior easily rivals anything the competition may bring. Just completed 08/29/2025 at a of cost $16,800.00. Let's not over look the restored steering wheel $1,800.00.

The optional Kelsey-Hayes 8-lug integral wheels riding on P215/75R14 American Classics white wall tires. The brake-drums have been restored. The brakes are all new. The 389ci Tri-Power matched to a T-10 manual 4-speed transmission. Pontiac Hotchkiss differential with a limited-slip also known as a Safe-T-Track with 3.42:1.

The Grand Prix is fully loaded option package that includes; power steering, power windows, power seat, wonder bar radio, clock, center console, heat, air condition, tachometer, and yes, a 4-speed.

Note on the AC in the '62. All lines, switches and hoses have been replaced. However, there is no compressor or brackets. Everthing is ready but you'll need to find an AC compressor.
