The 1956 Ford Thunderbird has gone throw a full body off restoration that includes the body having an acid dip. The undercarriage is spotless. The black gloss frame to the Salmon floor pans shows the level of dedication. During the restoration all the correct Ford inspection stamps, and build date code stamps have been redone for judging. The original body color was Clonial White has been changed to a stunning showstopping Salmon. The restoration was done in 1995. The car is clean of rust! Luxurious Salmon and White leather interior. The 1956 Ford Thunderbird was a significant model year. The most notable changes included: the 312 cubic inch V8 engine that is producing 225 horsepower and 324 lb-ft @ 2600 rpm with the Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. The exhaust tips for '56 were moved to the ends of the bumpers, and air vents were added behind the front wheels to improve cabin ventilation. The Continental Kit was a one-year option makes the 1956 model unique. Also, for '56 the electrical system was bumped up to 12 volts. Total production of the 1956 models was 15,631.
